It was common in Murcia for grandmother’s houses to have a ceramic bell in the shape of a «huertana,» wearing her «Refajo» (traditional skirt) and apron, painted with flowers imitating the original embroidery of the «Refajo.»

With this illustration, I wanted to represent the male version of this ceramic figurine (which did not exist). The illustration wears the typical «huertano» costume, including a vest, «Zaragüelles» (pants), and openwork stockings.

Era común en Murcia que en las casas de las abuelas hubiese una campanilla de cerámica con forma de  huertana, luciendo su Refajo (la falda tradicional) y el Delantal, pintados con flores imitando los bordados originales del Refajo. 

Con esta ilustración quería representar la versión masculina de esta figurita de cerámica (que no existía), la ilustración viste el traje típico huertano, chaleco, Zaragüelles (los pantalones) y las medias caladas.
